Every August, Hair Loss Awareness Month rolls around, and every year, we notice the same thing. The conversation is still quieter than it should be.

Here's a number that says it best: 40% of women experience thinning hair at some point in their lives. That's almost one in every two women you know. Your sister, your best friend, the woman two seats down at brunch. Statistically, someone close to you has stood in front of a mirror wondering why her hair doesn't look the way it used to, and said nothing about it.

We know, because we were two of them.

Why We Started Talking About It

Phil started with two friends in their 30s, noticing their own hair thinning and shedding, and going looking for something that actually understood what that felt like. What we found was a market that only offered two options: products so clinical they felt like a diagnosis, or products so glam and young they felt like they weren't even talking to us.
